How many of you don't know what your pelvic floor muscles look like or where they are? As many of you who go to my classes know I have a thing about pelvic floors!! :) Nothing annoys me more than those cheery ads for lady pads for just in case you are wandering around peeing yourself! This normalises an issue that woman should have zero tolerance with. I speak to loads of woman of all ages who have trouble when then sneeze, run or jump up and down. 1 in 3 woman will have issues with their pelvic floor in their lifetime. Rebel Barre and Urban Health have joined forces to bring you a detoxing weekend of juice, soup and Barre, Stretch and mindfulness while staying in the comfort of your own home.
This is the plan for the weekend.
Thursday evening or Friday morning: Collect your juices and soups, you have the choice of collecting each day or all in one go.
Friday 27th January evening 6pm - 7pm Rebel Barre H.E.A.T class. Our high energy Rebel Barre class.
Saturday 28th January 12-1 Classic Rebel Barre class
Sunday 29th January 1.30 - 3pm Afternoon workshop of detoxing and stretching, movement and mindfulness and some advice on how to make some healthy choices to move forward into February and beyond.
Your Juice & Soup detox consists of 3 juices and 2 soups per day. We find that the soup and juice cleanse works best when you are also exercising and the warmth of the soup is helpful on cold January days.
A short cleanse can give your body a chance to flush out toxins, it can revitalise your system with fresh nutrients and vitamins and set you up for Spring. Many people experience weight loss but it can also be a good kick start to following a healthy plan going forward. Many people find they have more energy and helps to break bad habits.

Due to popular demand we are bringing back our Splits workshop for another day on Sunday 16th October from 11 - 1 in My Wellbeing Studio, 16 Dame Street. This workshop is for everyone no matter your level of flexibility. We'll be working through stretches and exercises to help you work towards splits as well as using the foam rollers to help release tight muscles. Workshop is 40 euro. Book in the Courses section.
It’s time to get our dance on to 80’s music and this time it’s all for a good cause. In aid of October’s Breast Cancer awareness pink ribbon month we will be dancing and giving all money to Cancer Research Ireland.
We’ll be dancing to everything from Flashdance to Footloose, Madonna to Soft Cell. Book your place online in our courses section and then pay on the day what you want. Our workshops are usually 30 euro so that is your guide price. We’ll have some pink cupcakes for sale and will ask you to dress up in your 80’s gear if you want to. See you there!!
Dust off your Spice Girls kick and your Britney dance moves, our next workshop will be all about the 90s and learning a Britney Spears dance. We are so happy to announce our Beyonce Dance Workshop will be taking place on Saturday 20th August at 11.30am - 1pm in Temple Lane Rehearsal Studios next to the Button Factory.
Who doesn't love to dance to Beyonce! We'll be dancing our socks of to Beyonce tunes and learning the 'Single Ladies' dance.

The Foam roller section of our last workshop was particularly popular so due to demand we are running an hour and a half foam roller workshop on Saturday May 7th in the new studio on Merrion square at 11 - 12.30. Price will be €25.
On the same day we will be running a 'Barre Basics' workshop this is for barre goers new and old as it will break down some of our most popular barre exercises and look at technique and form to ensure you are getting the best out of your classes. Price for this will also be €25. This will run from 1.30-3pm. You can book both workshops for the reduced price of €40. Do you want to improve your flexibility? Maybe you've always wanted to do the splits but are too afraid to try. Maybe you can't even touch your toes. Here at Rebel Barre we love to see our Rebel gals and guys get more bendy so we are running a special 2 hour Splits workshop to help give you some tips on how to get a bit more flexibility into your life. Great for anyone no matter what level you are at. We can't promise to get you into splits straight away but we'll give you some tips on how to work on it.
Orla and Jade will guide you through a barre workout to warm up the muscles followed by stretches and sequences to open and stretch the muscles especially the hips and hamstrings and give you tools to work towards the splits
